Lunar Lander Regolith

Lunar Lander Regolithis a game I and 2 other team members made in 2 days as part of the NASA Space Apps Hackathon. Our game simulates collecting samples of moon regolith (basically just moon soil and sediment) to grow plants on the moon. Because it costs a ridiculous amount of money to bring Earth soil to the moon, combining it with moon soil is more cost-effective and efficient. The game also uses real moon heightmap data for the terrain (data courtesy of NASA).

Arsia-Mons Gaymez (our team name for the hackathon) won in two categories: “Best Use of Data” and “Art & Technology”.

The game runs in browser, free and available to everyone. You can also view the source code on GitHub (though if you do decide to take a peek at the source code, keep in mind we had 48 hours to make this).
